Description:
Install Miscellaneous NAVAIDS, Install Runway Vertical/Visual Guidance System - 16/34, Rehabilitate Runway Lighting - 16/34, Rehabilitate Taxiway


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Friday Harbor Airport in Washington.
  • This project will fund the replacement of the existing Runway 16 and 34 vertical/visual guidance system, including Precision Approach Path Indicator system and Runway End Identifier Lights that have reached the end of their useful lives and are required to enhance safe airfield operations during low visibility conditions.
  • This project will fund the rehabilitation of the Runway 16/34 Medium Intensity Runway Lighting system that has reached the end of its useful life and to enhance safe airfield operations during low visibility conditions.
  • This project will fund the replacement of the airport's rotating beacon that has reached the end of its useful life.
  • This project will fund phase three construction to rehabilitate the taxiway, including relocation of the apron tie-downs and markings as a result of a previous taxiway shift project to meet standards.
