Description:
Construct Taxiway, Remove Obstructions [Non-Hazard]


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Winchester Regional Airport associated with Winchester, Virginia. The local point of contact is Ms. Serena Manuel, Airport Executive Director. Ms. Serena Manuel may be reached at (540) 662-5786.
  • This project will fund the relocation of 5,500 feet of Taxiway A to assist the airport in meeting design standards.
  • This grant will provide funding for the acquisition of 0.52 acres of land adjacent to the existing airport property. This is phase 3 of a 9 phase project.
  • This project will fund the removal of tree obstructions in the Runway 14 approach surface.
  • This grant will provide funding for the removal of 6 acres of tree obstructions. This is phase 1 of a 2 phase project.
  • Winchester Regional Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as regional, as defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
