Description:
Rehabilitate Runway Lighting - 09/27


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Walker County-Bevill Field Airport associated with Jasper, Alabama. The local point of contact is Mr. Mike Short, Walker County Engineer. Mr. Mike Short may be reached at (205) 384-7249.
  • This project rehabilitates 10,000 feet of the existing Runway 9/27 lighting system that has reached the end of its useful life and requires rehabilitation to enhance safe airfield operations during low visibility conditions.
  • Walker County-Bevill Field Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as local, as defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
