Description:
Rehabilitate Taxiway Lighting, Security Enhancements


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Lynchburg Regional/Preston Glenn Field Airport associated with Lynchburg, Virginia.
  • This project will fund security enhancements required by Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1542. The security project was coordinated with Robin C. Burke, Federal Security Director, Transportation Security Administration, on August 3, 2017.
  • This project will fund the partial rehabilitation of the current Taxiway B and Taxiway G lighting system that has reached the end of its useful life and requires rehabilitation to enhance safe airfield operations during low visibility conditions.
  • Lynchburg Regional/Preston Glenn Field Airport is a nonhub primary airport associated with Lynchburg, Virginia. The local point of contact is Mr. Mark Courtney, Manager. Mr. Mark Courtney may be reached at (434) 455-6089.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
