Zero Emissions Vehicle/Infrastructure (Pilot Prog FY12-15 ONLY)

  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia.
  • This Zero-Emissions Vehicles (ZEV) and Infrastructure Pilot Program grant will provide funds to purchase one zero-emissions electric passenger shuttle bus, one inductive vehicle charging pad and associated infrastructure, and one overnight vehicle charging station and associated infrastructure at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is located in an Environmental Protection Agency-designated nonattainment area for eight-hour ozone and particulate matter less than 2.5 micrometers in diameter and is voluntarily contributing to regional attainment of National Ambient Air Quality Standards under the Clean Air Act. By reducing the use of conventional fuels, this ZEV Pilot Program project will improve local air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
