Construct Building, Construct Fuel Farm, Rehabilitate Runway - 16/34


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Vaiden Field Airport associated with Marion, Alabama. The local point of contact is Mr. Willis Hansen, Airport Director, Vaiden Field. Mr. Willis Hansen may be reached at (334) 683-6630.
  • This project constructed a double pump fuel facility to assist the airport to be as self-sustaining as possible by generating revenue. The sponsor has adequately financed the airside needs of the airport.
  • This grant funds the reimbursement for the construction of the fuel farm completed in November 2010.
  • This project constructed a 10-bay T-hangar building to assist the airport to be as self-sustaining as possible by generating revenue. The sponsor has adequately financed the airside needs of the airport.
  • This grant funds the reimbursement for the construction of a 10-bay T-hangar building completed in May 2011.
  • This project rehabilitates 6,400 feet of Runway 16/34 marking to ensure safe airfield operations.
  • Vaiden Field Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as basic, as defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
