Description:
Improve Airport Drainage, Rehabilitate Taxiway


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Northeast Alabama Regional Airport associated with Gadsden, Alabama. The local point of contact is Mr. William Cunningham, Airport Manager. Mr. William Cunningham may be reached at (256) 442-3313.
  • This project rehabilitates 5,330 feet of the existing Taxiway A needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project installs 1,500 feet of drainage improvements necessary to adequately handle storm water runoff.
  • Northeast Alabama Regional Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as local, as defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
