Description:
Construct Taxiway, Rehabilitate Apron, Rehabilitate Runway - 16/34, Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway B], Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway C], Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway S]


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Minden-Tahoe Airport associated with Minden, Nevada. The local point of contact is Ms. Roberta Thompson, Airport Manager. Ms. Roberta Thompson may be reached at (775) 782-9871.
  • This project constructs a new 2,700 feet east partial parallel taxiway to provide access to aircraft hangars.
  • This grant funds the first phase, which includes design.
  • This project rehabilitates 10,000 square yards of the existing Heavy Aircraft apron to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project rehabilitates 7,400 feet of Runway 16/34 to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement and to minimize foreign object debris.
  • This project rehabilitates 2,900 feet of the existing Taxiway B needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project rehabilitates 3,350 feet of the existing Taxiway C needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project rehabilitates 1,829 feet of the existing Taxiway S needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • Minden-Tahoe Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as regional, as defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
