Install Weather Reporting Equipment, Rehabilitate Access Road, Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway A], Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway B], Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway C], Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway D], Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway E], Rehabilitate Taxiway [Taxiway F]


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Carson Airport associated with Carson City, Nevada. The local point of contact is Hon. Robert Crowell, Mayor of Carson City. Hon. Robert Crowell may be reached at (775) 887-2100.
  • This project rehabilitates 6,700 feet of the existing Taxiway A needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project rehabilitates 1,040 feet of the airport's existing access road to preserve access to the airport.
  • This project rehabilitates the existing type AWOS-III automated weather observing system to enhance the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations at the airport by providing accurate, current and site-specific weather information.
  • This project rehabilitates 2,750 feet of the existing Taxiway B needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project rehabilitates 2,790 feet of the existing Taxiway C needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project rehabilitates 6,700 feet of the existing Taxiway D needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project rehabilitates 600 feet of the existing Taxiway E needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • This project rehabilitates 440 feet of the existing Taxiway F needed to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement.
  • Carson Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as regional, as defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
