The Colorado Department of Transportation will be awarded $60.7 million to implement a series of improvements to I-70 between mile post 180 and 190 in Eagle County. The project includes the construction of an eastbound auxiliary lane, reconstruction of the eastbound bridge over Polk Creek, shoulder widening, westbound curve modifications, reconstruction of a truck ramp, dynamic message signs, a variable speed limit system, and automated anti-icing technologies.
