Description:
Extend Taxiway


  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Franklin Municipal-John Beverly Rose Airport associated with Franklin, Virginia. The local point of contact is Jimmy Gray, Manager. Jimmy Gray may be reached at (757) 562-8764.
  • This project will fund a 1,250 foot extension of the parallel taxiway and an additional 570 feet for the connector taxiways. This project will enhance safety by eliminating the need for aircraft to back-taxi on the runway.
  • This grant will provide funding for the construction phase of the project. This is phase 2 of a 2 phase project.
  • Franklin Municipal-John Beverly Rose Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as local, as defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
