This grant will provide federal funding for the Coolidge Municipal Airport associated with Coolidge, Arizona. The local point of contact is Mr. Rick Miller, City Manager. Mr. Rick Miller may be reached at (520) 723-6075.This grant is being funded as part of the Supplemental funding provided under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018. An intent to fund this project was previously announced by the Secretary of Transportation on May 15, 2019.This project reconstructs 5,500 feet of the existing Runway 5/23 pavement that has reached the end of its useful life.This project reconstructs the existing Runway 5/23 lighting system that has reached the end of its useful life and requires reconstruction to meet Federal Aviation Administration standards.This project installs replacement Runway 5/23 precision approach path indicators and new runway end identifier lights to make the airport more accessible by improving approaches to the runway ends.Coolidge Municipal Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as local, as defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
